North Carolina, Charlotte – Processing the new Honduran electronic passport at any of the 14 Honduran consulates in the country, including the one in Miami, can now be obtained on the same day of the appointment in a process of around 20 minutes.
After months of long waiting to receive the long-awaited and necessary document, Hondurans have to make their appointment to obtain the passport through the new platform.
The printing of the new passport at consular offices is today a reality, thanks to the installation of printers and software connected to the government of Honduras.

Inauguration of the new passport printing process
Recently, Mr. Victor Ferrari, in charge of Consular Affairs of the Honduran government, toured the 14 consulates in the United States, to inaugurate the new passport printing process.
“Believe me, this moment is historic because going from five production centers to having 14 centers in the United States means that you can have your passport at any consulate in this country,” said Ferrari, during his visit to the consulate in Charlotte, North Carolina. .
Delivery of late passports
The Honduran consulates had been facing a delay in the delivery of passports of several months.
Therefore, they had accumulated thousands of documents that they have been gradually delivering with extended work during the week and attention on Saturdays, after the installation of the printers and software.
Hondurans who completed the passport process and have not yet received the document after months of doing so, must go to the consular offices without making an appointment and notify the officials so that they can recapture the data.
Saturday care suspended
In an announcement through its Facebook page, the Consulate of Honduras in Miami said that “due to the great progress in reducing the queue for printing pending passports, service on Saturdays is suspended.”
The consulate indicated that “if the passport was processed at the Miami headquarters between February and April 2022, and it has not yet been received, people can stop by their offices between Monday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to recapture the data without any additional payment to deliver the passport to you on the same day.”
Security measures of the new Passport
The new Honduran electronic passport has 38 pages and contains the bearer's personal and biometric data.
The paper also has embedded security measures, barcodes, as well as UV-sensitive inks.
Process to print the new passport
The process to produce the new Honduran electronic passport includes data capture in the system, fingerprinting and photography. As well as data verification.
Once this part of the process is completed, the printing and quality control process continues, for a total of 15 to 20 minutes.

What a bad cervisio they have and they can't even make appointments because the first two months are exhausted and the other months there is no access, so berguenza, even in that regard, El Salvador wins because El Salvador has many places to go to process the passport and they are faster and more efficient and they give it the same day and without an appointment I think they should improve their services or create more consulates since there are many Hondurans who need to do paperwork..
