North Carolina, Charlotte – To respond to the appointment needs of Hondurans in the United States, the Honduran government launched the SIAMIGH@ Call Center. This call center offers guidance, helps with consular appointments and reports or complaints are channeled.
El Call Center or Comprehensive System of Attention to Honduran Migrants (SIAMIGH@) started to work the 23 of February of 2023. It has 45 operators to “provide comprehensive attention to Hondurans in terms of the management of consular services.”
Emergency appointments
During a Facebook Live, held by Enlace Latino NC on Thursday, March 9, with Enrique Flores, consul of the Honduran Consulate based in Charlotte, and the second consul, Raúl Vivas, it was reported that in the Call Center also supports Hondurans who need to process an emergency consular appointment.
We know that it is not easy for some Hondurans to make appointments, that is why the people in the Call Center are helping them so that they can make their appointments through this means.

The consul pointed out that since the Call Center is in Honduras, SIAMIGH@ operators can create emergency appointments directly.
What is an emergency consular appointment?
According to the consular official:
“An emergency appointment is like having to go to the hospital, for example, a pregnant woman, because she has an immigration court, and she needs to bring her Honduran passport. Cases are evaluated, there is no manual, they are evaluated case by case "
Information about SIAMIGH@ is usually shared on the Facebook pages of the 14 Honduran Consulates in the United States. As well as on the virtual platforms of the Honduran government.
“The Call Center is basically a guidance service. What they do is try to verify if you have an appointment, they can reschedule an appointment, they can tell you the requirements for a procedure, they can also make emergency appointments or anything they need,” Consul Flores explained.

SIAMIGH@: where to call?

I need an urgent passport to make a transmission with immigration
Hello, I am here every day of the week to make an emergency appointment for my daughter for her passport because she is going to court with the judge and it is urgent that she have her passport and there are no appointments.
It is unfortunate that our Honduran consulates here in the United States do not
have the capacity for the demand for documents that many citizens have
appointments are limited
Communication is terrible, many of those phone numbers don't work or no one answers.
Many of us just want to say our last goodbyes and it is not possible to get a passport except for an appointment.
It is a frustration with how they manage the appointment system or that it was free
I really hope someone reads this comment and can help me. I've been wanting to get an appointment for months every day at all hours. I check the website and it just doesn't work. Yesterday I finally managed to schedule an appointment for December 20, 2023. And I didn't receive the confirmation email. Please, who should I speak to to find out if the appointment was scheduled or not? I live 2 hours from the consulate and I can't go if they don't attend to me without confirmation of the appointment!

It's important to mention that the consular assistance number is open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. We tested it a few moments ago, and a recording was activated informing us that the lines were busy, asking us to wait on the line until we were assisted by an agent. Therefore, we can confirm—at least for today—that the consular assistance number is active.
Another option would be to contact the consular headquarters where you need to carry out your procedure through their FB page.
