“The bond between the North Carolina area and Mexico is very strong,” Zapata said in response to Enlace Latino NC .

Aeroméxico punctuality and safety
Aeroméxico was classified as the most punctual airline in the world in February, according to Cirum, a firm specialized in analysis of the aviation sector.
92 percent of all the airline's flights arrived on time, Zapata announced.
Amid safety problems and concerns with Boeing aircraft, Zapata mentioned that the airline has had no problems with this manufacturer's aircraft.
"We have Boeing planes, just over half of Aeroméxico's fleet, and we haven't had any incidents," Zapata said. "When it happened with other airlines, we did have several ground operations and we performed all the necessary safety tests, but for now, we're very happy with the Boeing fleet."
What will be the price of the ticket?
The answer varies and depends on many factors such as seasonality, demand, ticket flexibility and others.
Currently, they are offering a promotional sale where passengers can purchase for as little as $499 round trip to Mexico City, said Ivan Vukov, sales director for Aeroméxico.
Aeroméxico's direct flights from Raleigh to Mexico City will arrive at Benito Juárez International Airport.
Aeroméxico's approach to agricultural and business workers
Before starting the route, Zapata contacted ambassador Claudia Velasco, Consul General of Mexico in Raleigh, who helped him connect with the local community.
“We went to Vass, to the area where the agricultural fields are located, where our Mexican compatriots work, to understand a little more about their logistics and, more importantly, how we can share the message that Aeroméxico is here,” Zapata said.
Additionally, they have met with other local business leaders to determine needs and opportunities in the area.
Aeroméxico qualifies for RDU's incentive program for new carriers, which includes waived landing and facility fees, plus up to $225,000 in marketing support over two years.
It is the third new airline to begin or announce international service at RDU in 2023.
Air France's inaugural flight from Paris to RDU landed on October 30, and Lufthansa announced in September that it will launch direct service to Frankfurt, Germany, next June. Mexico City will be RDU's ninth international destination.
