Enlace Latino NC  identified of the   clinics and programs that offer affordable medical care for farm workers in Lee County and a  in Chatham. These clinics are part of the Health Program for Farmworkers of North Carolina (NCFHP), which provides support to workers who travel for agricultural work or who work seasonally.

Piedmont Health Services – Moncure

Located in 7228 Moncure Pittsboro Rd, Moncure, NC 27559,  Piedmont Health Services offers family medicine and preventive care services for migrant and seasonal farm workers, as well as their families.

Program outreach staff visit camps and communities to identify health needs, connect workers with medical and specialty providers, and offer support services such as interpretation, transportation, and case management.  In some locations, mobile teams provide medical care directly in the field.

At Piedmont Health Services in Moncure, the program offers the following services to farmworkers:

  • Appointment scheduling for: medical services, dental services, behavioral health counseling, nutrition and diabetes/WIClaboratory and health insurance registration.
  • Dental visits
  • drug delivery
  • Prevention of blindness (for patients with diabetes)
  • COVID-19 tests and vaccines
  • Food pantry delivery
  • Hygiene, cleaning/disinfection and safety supplies for the field (while supplies last)

Goshen Medical Center is a private, non-profit organization and a community health center for federally qualified migrants.
