Enlace Latino NC  broadcast live on Thursday, September 17th a community chat with the current mayor of Raleigh, Janet Cowell, who is seeking re-election.

Cowell answered questions about her priorities and proposals regarding housing, safety, support for the Latino community, and affordability, among other topics.

Among the topics discussed were some that have been part of the recent conversation in the city, such as the curfew for minors, the moratorium on data centers, and the cost of housing.

Cowell's only rival, Ashleigh Heath Armstrong, had confirmed her participation, but on the morning of the event she notified that she would not be able to attend due to personal health reasons.

These elections for mayor of Raleigh will be nonpartisan November 3, 2026.

The talk “Meet the Candidates” is part of the electoral civic education initiative of Enlace Latino NC ,  “Your Vote is Power”
