The polling place in North Carolina is not the same for everyone. Each voter is assigned a precinct based on their address. Registered for the elections of November 3, 2026.

To find your polling station you can use the Voter Search tool from the North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE), or access the polling station search tool for NCSBE election day.

About the “Voter Finder” tool

Through this tool, you can access voter information, including your jurisdiction, polling place, sample ballot (when available), absentee ballot information, and voting history. This makes it the most comprehensive tool offered by the NCSBE.

The tool requests the following information: first name, last name, year of birth, and county of residence. It will also ask if you are registered, have been removed from the system, or have been denied registration.

This tool is specifically designed to find your polling place on election day. You can search using two options: by electoral district or by address.

Search by address

To perform a search by address, the information requested by the tool is: residential address, city, state, and postal code.

If your residential address includes north, south, east, or west directions, you may need to try different options to locate your polling place. Also, remember to include the street type.

Search by electoral district

To perform a search by electoral district, the tool requests the county and the polling place.

What happens during the early voting period? Unlike on election day, when you must vote at your assigned polling place, during the early voting period you can vote at any of the designated centers within your county of residence.
