Peruvian Biometric Passports processed at Peruvian consulates in Texas

Updated June 2024-  In the state of Texas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru has two consulates to serve Peruvians, one in Dallas and the other in Houston.

Peruvians who need to carry out a consular procedure at the Dallas headquarters need to make an appointment for some procedures, and for others it is not necessary.

The Peruvian consulate in Houston also operates by appointment for some procedures. For others it is not necessary and they can appear at the consular office as long as they have the established requirements.

Below, we bring you all the contact information, the main procedures that you can carry out at both consular offices, and the procedure to request your consular appointment at the consular offices of Peru in Dallas and Houston, Tx. 

Consulate of Peru in Dallas, Tx.

The Peruvian consular headquarters attends by appointment to Peruvians in Dallas who request it, for any of the following procedures:

  1. Birth Certificate of Peru
  2. Marriage certificate
  3. Death certificate
  4. Certified copies of certificates (birth, marriage or death)
  5. Rectification of Minutes
  6. DNI for adults and minors
  7. Notarial Procedures (deeds, powers, travel authorization for a minor, survival certificate, legalization of private signatures, law of return to Peru, renunciation of nationality)

Appointments to process the Peru DNI

The consular headquarters provides DNI renewal, change of address or updating services for adults over 17 years of age, issuance of DNI for the first time for those over 17 years of age and, DNI for minors under 17 years of age.

To make an appointment at the Peruvian consulate in Dallas related to the DNI, it is necessary to send an email to dni@conperdallas.com .

The consular headquarters also offers the possibility of speaking by phone with the consular official in charge of processing the DNI. You can also call the helpline number: 972 234 0005, Annex 03 . Opening hours are from 2:00 to 4:45 pm.

Appointment for Powers of Attorney and Legalization

To request a consular appointment related to powers and legalizations, write to powers@conperdallas.com 

If you need to make a consultation, you can call 972 234 0005, Annex 2002. Office hours are from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.  

Biometric Passport of Peru

For passport processing for adults and minors does not require you to request an appointment . You only need to meet 2 requirements:

  1. Present yourself at the consular headquarters with your DNI with updated information
  2. Cover payment in cash when appearing at the consulate

The cost of a passport with a maximum validity of 5 years is 70 soles. It is important to note that, for the moment, the consular headquarters only issues passports valid for 5 years.

For queries related to the passport process you can also write an email to passport passport@conperdallas.com  It is important that you take into account that the passport delivery time is 3 to 4 weeks. For this reason, it is important that you take precautions.

Consulate of Peru in Houston, Tx.

If you are going to carry out your biometric passport process at the Peruvian consular headquarters in Houston, Tx, you do not need to make an appointment, as long as you present all the requirements requested for the process.

For DNI, Civil Registry (Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates), Powers of Attorney and Travel Authorization procedures, it is necessary to make an appointment in advance.

Address of the Consulate of Peru in Houston

The address of the Peruvian Consulate in Houston changed as of March 18, 2024. They are located in the same building in a different suite.

The new address is 5177 Richmond Avenue, Suite 312, Houston, Texas, 77056. 

Business hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The consular headquarters provides attention 1 Saturday of each month, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

      1.-Present the National Identity Document (DNI) with updated data
      2.-Make the payment in cash at the time of the in-person passport processing appointment. According to the information on the website, the cost is 70 soles
