In Lee County, Enlace Latino NC  identified four  clinics that offer services of mental health to residents of the Lee area, and un  Mobile mental health crisis service available in the county.

Mobile mental health crisis service available in the county 

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) offers mobile crisis response services in several counties, including Lee. The program provides short-term response, stabilization, and intervention for adults and children with intellectual or developmental disabilities experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis.

The team consists of one or two counselors who can meet with the person at their home, school, or another safe location. If you don't speak English, you can request an interpreter.

In Lee, the assigned provider is Therapeutic Alternatives.  People in crisis can call (877) 626-1772  to receive help 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The crisis service is free, even for those without health insurance, although costs may apply for the recommended treatment.

Daymark Recovery Services – Lee Outpatient Center 

Daymark Recovery Services, located in 130 Carbonton Rd, Sanford, NC 27330 , is a non-profit organization established to provide comprehensive behavioral health care services, including treatment options for mental health or substance abuse.

Do they offer services for adults and children?

For adults and youth, the center offers walk-in assessments with priority access for all disabilities, routine outpatient therapy, and psychiatry and medication management services.

It also offers age-specific services. For adults, this includes the Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program (SAIOP). For youth, it provides assessments and therapy for those involved in the juvenile justice system (JJSSAMHP).

Do they offer free or low-cost care?

Daymark Recovery Services is not a free clinic. However, they accept most health insurance plans, including Medicaid.

Individuals without health insurance will be eligible for a reduced or discounted rate scale, as determined by the relevant Managed Health Care Organization/Local Management Entity.

Behavioral Healthcare Associates, LLC 

Located in 319 Court Square, Sanford, NC 27330 , Behavioral Healthcare Associates, LLC It is a comprehensive mental and behavioral health clinic in Lee County. Its services include: psychiatric medication evaluation and management, mental health and substance use disorder assessments, and counseling services all in one location.

Yes, they offer services for adults, adolescents, and children. Their team also includes a psychiatrist with dual certification in child/adolescent and adult psychiatry, who conducts regular reviews of psychiatric medication use to maximize its benefits.

Do they offer free or low-cost care?

Behavioral Healthcare Associates, LLC is not a free clinic. It is recommended to contact the office in advance to learn about coverage and payment options. 

VC & Associates Inc 

VC & Associates Inc, located in 111 Dennis Dr, Sanford, NC 27330,  It is a clinic that offers mental health services, including intensive home therapy, medication management, outpatient therapy, and psychiatric treatments. Its services are available in English and Spanish.

VC & Associates Inc is not a free clinic, however they accept different medical insurances such as: Tricare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Choice and Medicaid.

Cana Psychiatric Health 

Located in 136 Carbonton Rd, Sanford, NC 27330 , Cana Psychiatric Health It offers telepsychiatry and in-person services specializing in the treatment of various mental health disorders, including depressive disorders, eating disorders, insomnia, behavioral disorders, among others.

Do they offer services for adults and children?

Yes. Cana Psychiatric Health offers services to children 12 years and older, as well as families.

Do they offer free or low-cost care?

Cana Psychiatric Health is not a free clinic, however they accept the following medical insurances: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, UBH, UHC, United Medical Resources, Ambetter, Oscar, Aetna, AHCCCS and United HealthCare.
