An enriching experience
With a registration fee of $100 per child, the camp offers four days of intensive instruction from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., including lunch and daily snacks.
Best of all, no prior experience or equipment is required. “If you have clubs, bring them. If not, we'll provide them,” said Jack Radley, the course's first assistant and one of the instructors, in a press release.

From alumni to instructors
The camp will be led by Jack Radley and Anthony Cicogna, both golf course assistants and alumni of the camp.
“This camp is very personal for us. We first learned the game here, and now we can offer that same opportunity to other kids,” Radley said.
More than golf: values training
During the camp, participants will learn the fundamentals of the game: putting, chipping, and stroke, as well as basic golf etiquette and rules.
As the week progresses, the children will move from the practice areas to the real course. But the goal goes beyond the technical aspects: “Golf teaches discipline, responsibility, and respect. We want the children to leave feeling confident and excited to keep practicing,” Radley said.
A field with history
Located in the heart of Sanford, the municipal golf course is a classic North Carolina setting, overlooking Buffalo Creek and featuring pine-lined fairways.
The course was designed in 1934 by renowned architect Donald Ross, making it an ideal place for young players to have their first taste of golf.
