Hispanic Heritage Month Festivals
Here are seven festivals to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in Western North Carolina.
1. GuateFest – Morganton
GuateFest is a celebration of the Guatemalan culture in North Carolina. This two-day festival showcases the best of Guatemala with marimba performances, singers, and the traditional torchlight parade.
In addition, you can enjoy traditional food, crafts, and activities for the whole family. It is an event that unites the community around its roots, offering a space to share and learn about Guatemalan traditions in a festive atmosphere.

2. Hello Asheville
Hola Asheville is one of the most anticipated events in the center of the largest city in western North Carolina, where Latin culture takes to the streets with music, dance and shows that represent diversity and the encounter between cultures.
This festival is organized by Hola Carolina and represents a celebration of the cultural diversity of Latin America, with performances by folklore groups, typical cuisine and crafts.

3. United Cultures- Marion
The United Cultures Festival in Marion is an event that celebrates unity through cultural diversity.
This year, the festival will feature the special participation of the Guadalajara Folkloric Ballet, which will bring the color and tradition of Mexican folklore to the stage.
In addition, more than 50 vendors will offer a wide range of artisanal products and traditional food. The event is family-friendly and free.

4. Cultural Carnival – Cashiers

It is a space where families can enjoy an afternoon full of culture, entertainment and traditional food.

5. We Are All America – Hickory
The Todos Somos América Festival in Hickory is a celebration of Latino and Hispanic American identity.
Featuring music, dance, and food from different Latin American countries, this festival is an opportunity to explore the cultural richness of the region.
From piñatas and raffles to quinceañera performances, the event offers a complete experience for the entire family, promoting unity and pride in our roots.

6. Hispanic Heritage Day – Hendersonville
Hispanic Heritage Day at the Hendersonville Farmers Market is a celebration that combines the best of Hispanic culture with local produce.
During this day, attendees will be able to enjoy a variety of activities including themed cooking demonstrations, dancing, and learning opportunities with the organization
True Ridge. There will also be stalls with Latin American food and activities for the little ones.

7. Mountain State Fair – Fletcher
The Mountain State Fair is an annual event beloved by the Latino community in Western North Carolina.

During the fair, attendees can enjoy cultural performances, live music and Hispanic food, along with traditional attractions that celebrate the region's deep agricultural roots.
