“United for Venezuela,” a fundraising campaign that emerged in Charlotte by a group of Venezuelans to help their compatriots affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela On June 24, he managed to collect nearly 2,000 boxes of supplies.

“The response from our community exceeded all our expectations. Thank you to each and every one of you. Nearly 2,000 boxes of supplies were collected, and we are now working on the next phase of this great effort,” the group stated.
The collection center was set up in The Latin Corner, a store located at 705 Main Street, in Pineville, where dozens of volunteers worked tirelessly from morning till night to select, pack and then palletize all the donations in a warehouse.

The group indicated that for now they will not be receiving any more donations, as the entire team of volunteers is focused on the logistical stage of ensuring that each box leaves for Venezuela as soon as possible.
The boxes were stored in the main warehouse of the Compare Foods supermarket, where volunteers were able to assemble the pallets with them.
The group also said that in the coming days it would be sharing information about the next steps and that new collection days would be announced.
“We know that the need will not end in a few days; it will be weeks and even months in which Venezuela will continue to need our solidarity,” he said.
The group of Venezuelans also thanked the dozens of volunteers who donated their time to work tirelessly, Latin Corner for opening its doors as a collection center, the restaurants that fed the entire team during the arduous days, and those who shared information, prayed, and supported in any way.
