This family-oriented resort encompasses 54 acres of skiable terrain in the majestic mountains of Western North Carolina, specifically in Madison County. 

With slopes designed for all levels, from beginner to expert, Hatley Pointe offers a diverse, exciting and accessible winter experience for everyone. Its five beginner, nine intermediate and two expert trails ensure there are options for every family member, skier and snowboarder, regardless of ability.

In addition to the variety of slopes, Hatley Pointe Mountain Resort sets itself apart with its dining and entertainment options. It has a restaurant, bar, cafeteria and a pizza food truck. Sugar Mountain Resort: Excitement in the Heights of Banner Elk 

Sugar Mountain Resort, located in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, stands out as the largest ski resort in the state. With 125 acres of skiable terrain, it's a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. The resort has 20 slopes and nine lifts. It includes a modern, fast six-seater detachable chairlift, the fastest in North Carolina, taking visitors to a maximum elevation of 5,300 feet.

What sets Ski Sugar apart is its Upper Flying Mile trail, the only double black diamond in North Carolina. It is also the steepest slope in the state at 1,200 feet. This intermediate track connects to the Lower Flying Mile, providing an exciting 1.5 mile long race. Additionally, the resort has made recent upgrades to its snowmaking equipment, ensuring fluffy white powder more efficiently on all slopes. At least 14 of them are illuminated for night skiing.

Beyond the thrilling slopes, Sugar Mountain offers additional activities like ice skating and snow tubing. Its picturesque Alpine Village is home to a 10,000-square-foot outdoor skating rink and a snow tubing park with 700-foot lanes, all accompanied by dining and entertainment options. Beech Mountain Resort: The ski resort in the highest town

In this picturesque city you will find Beech Mountain Ski Resort : 95 acres of ski terrain with 17 runs and trails, and an elevation gain of 830 feet.

There are also options to eat, drink hot drinks or enjoy local beers in Alpine Village, a small village in Beech Mountain Resort. It is a resort that has shops and dining options. Additionally, there is a tubing trail with a snow maker that can produce snow at temperatures up to 50 degrees.

Cataloochee Ski Area: elegance and challenge in the mountains

For its part, its sister store, Cataloochee Ski and Sports in Maggie Valley, provides everything you need to equip yourself properly. With a 100% snowmaking system, 18 runs, 3 gondolas and 2 cable cars, Cataloochee guarantees a diverse experience for all levels. From its expert 1,000-foot runway, enjoy breathtaking views. For thrill seekers, the Cat Cage Terrain Park offers thrilling obstacles.

Additionally, visitors can enjoy the thrill of snow tubing at Tube World. It is located just 4 miles from the ski area, has up to 12 lanes. Reservation in advance is recommended. Open from Thursday to Sunday, as well as during Christmas week and on holiday Mondays. This tubing park offers additional fun for snow lovers.
