Yes. As community hospital As a non-profit organization, SampsonRMC is committed to “providing quality care for all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.”

For patients who pay out of pocket (without health insurance), the hospital notes that they cannot be charged more than what is normally charged to insured patients for emergency services or necessary medical care.

Do they offer financial aid programs?

Yes. SampsonRMC uses the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) as the basis for financial assistance. Full assistance is offered to patients with household incomes up to 200% of the FPG, and partial assistance is offered to those with household incomes up to 300% of the FPG.

Financial assistance may include “medically necessary” treatment — hospital care, outpatient care, emergency room visits, surgical services, etc.

Financial advisors are available at the hospital or by phone to help you understand your options or apply for financial assistance. The application is available online or you can pick it up at the hospital's Administration Office, located at 612 Beaman Street, Clinton,  or at any Sampson Regional center, including the center in Clinton.

Yes. The hospital offers on-site interpreter services, a "Spanish Translation Service," and "Language Line Services" for when an interpreter is not available in person.
